The beginning

Welcome to the Red Hot Mama blog "It's the Tits!" Here you will be able to follow us as we attempt to take something as simple as a home grown hot sauce recipe, and turn it in to a full fledged hot sauce empire!

There is no guarantee this works, hell we may feel defeated a month down the road and call it quits. But after years of dreaming, it was time to take the next steps. We are literally at STEP ONE so enjoy the ride.

Through the process we'll share our research, tips, downfalls, and anything else we can to make it easier for the everyday person to start their own company, be it for hot sauces, BBQ sauces or some other home goods. I have searched the internet far and wide for a "How To" on starting your own hot sauce business and of course the answers are never all in one place. That's not saying you'll find an easy step by step guide here on how to get started, but hopefully we can share some of what we find out with you.

Thanks for reading and look for the first update in just a bit.

  1. So the company's name is Red Hot Mama Sauces? Just wanted to flag a couple of other sauces with similar names: http://www.jdoggphair.com/redhotmama.html

  2. BTW, I think I should win a prize for posting the 1st comment on the company blog!

Reg: will the hot sauce company be hosting a photo contest?

  3. Yes it will be Red Hot Mama Sauces. The slogan is, "It's the Tits!"

The logo (which is in development) should explain that part!

Look for the next blog posting about "What's in a name"

Peach, you know, we gotta have an eventual photo contest!

  4. I have an idea to pitch - how about a wing sauce? You could name it after my beloved son, Monkey Boy! I'm thinking "Winged Monkey Boy" sauce

    (Wizard of Oz reference:
"Once," began the King of the Winged Monkeys, "we were a free people, living happily in the great forest, flying from tree to tree, eating nuts and fruit, and doing just as we pleased without calling anybody master. Perhaps some of us were rather too full of mischief at times, flying down to pull the tails of the animals that had no wings, chasing birds, and throwing nuts at the people who walked in the forest. But we were careless and happy and full of fun, and enjoyed every minute of the day.)
